Nursery have jumped straight into learning about the life cycle of a frog this week. One of their missions was to get creative and make a frog from paper plates. It took lots of perseverance to make sure that both plates were covered in paint. Everyone really liked adding the long tongue that the frog uses to catch flies!
Our rhyme this week was 5 Little Speckled Frogs and Nursery learned that when one frog jumps into the pond we ‘take away’ and there are less frogs. Everyone then played a frog maths game to help them develop lots of different maths skills.
The letter sound this week was ‘Tt’ and of course tadpole begins with Tt’. Look at our super tadpole paintings. Everyone also took part in a life cycle of a frog movement activity. They were frogspawn, tadpoles, froglets then frogs. Gwaith da Nursery!
